Final Rawsii Assignment!

I learned so much in Christi's class!  I achieved my goal, I am now shooting in manual almost 100% of the time!  I absolutely loved this opportunity.  It was challenging, but I learned a lot!

Now I just have to keep shooting so I don't forget what I learned!  Thanks Christi!

Big Sister Katie!

This is Maddie's big sister "Little Katie!'  A name we have lovingly referred to her as since she was six months old!  Can you imagine having two sets of these gorgeous eyes in one house?  Make it three.  Like Mother like Daugters!

Madison & Julie were kind enough to help me with my homework for Rawsii this week. I can't help but stare at her gorgeous blue eyes and be reminded of the miracle that she is. Thank you Madison! What a blessing you were to photograph today!

OK - These were done with the pre-set WB this time...  The coloring was much better than the first two attempts at the lake..  But, I wasn't pleased with the overall photos.  I had a lot of "blow outs" because of the natural light coming in the window.  Even though it was an overcast day...  I did end up using one of these, the second photo, for my assignment.  I love the catch lights in her eyes!  Even though this lesson really challenged me, I loved taking these photos over the weekend of Ainsley!  Thanks Ains!!

Choosing for an Assignment...

For this assignment we had to shoot in manual and do a head shot.  We were also supposed to use a manual setting for White Balance...  Here are two shots I am considering...  Unfortunately, I did not do the WB assignment right on the photo I like the best..  I just wanted to put them here to narrow it down....  Easier to pick when they are close together...

OK - I LOVE playing in manual.  I never thought I would see myself write that....  She needs some post editing, but that is for a later time...  I did lighten this slightly in PSE.

I am in my third lesson of my Rawsii Photography class.  This week she has challenged us to shoot in full manual!!!  OK - I started out scratching my head, but then a few shots started to come together.  I am posting three of my favorites from my homework today!  (There is no post editing on any of these... yet.)
